Hey All Day FORE Africa friends....we’ve got some fun news to share with you!
As you may know, All Day FORE Africa celebrated the 10th ANNIVERSARY of KIDS FOR KIDS. Can you believe it's been 10 years?!
What started as one girl, a bag of golf clubs and a dream to make the world a better place has grown into an international organization that is making a big impact in the lives of people in Rwanda AND right here in the US!
It seems that each year things just keep getting better and better. This year there have been BIG plans in the works!
One of the biggest changes is a brand new name! That’s right! We’ve decided that after 10 years and lots of growing that this Kids for Kids movement is more than just an All Day event to raise funds for some people in Rwanda.
Over the past ten years, we’ve built a beautiful relationship with the people in the village of Kibeho and are partnering with them to bring some exciting opportunities and great hope to the village. After much discussion, we decided that our name just no longer fit!
So with great joy we announce our new name...
ABANA? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WELL, IN RWANDA, ABANA MEANS KIDS AND THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT!
The Abana Foundation mission is to empower kids to feed, teach, and give hope to people in Rwanda. All programming and efforts revolve around these ideas.
With your help, The Abana Foundation will continue to feed the students at Nyarushishi Primary School and the Blind Children’s School, educate students at The Children’s Academy, focusing on improving their English skills, and offer educational scholarships for those who qualify to continue their education. It is truly amazing what is happening because of YOUR generosity!
ALL DAY FORE AFRICA EVENTS WILL CONTINUE
Our foundation's name may be changing but we definitely plan keep the All Day FORE Africa events going strong! These KIDS FOR KIDS events have become a special time of youth building and community fellowship.
So you can still expect to see kids in the US spending the day doing all kinds of fun things to raise money and awareness for kids in Rwanda at an Abana Foundation All Day FORE Africa event. Same great event...same great name!
So there you have it...A big change and leap of faith. We hope you like our new name as much as we do! As you see the new logo and look, be assured that The Abana Foundation is the same great organization that values your donations and is working hard to be great stewards of your generosity.
